Tên của hãng film Là phần có ghi các tên như Kodak, Fuji, Ilford… Hiện nay cũng ko còn nhiều hãng sx film nữa nên thực ra loanh quanh cũng chỉ còn vãi hãng quen thuộc. 2. Khổ film Là phần ghi “120”, “135”, “sheet”. Đây là code cho khổ film được quy định bởi Kodak năm 1934. 135 là khổ film thông dụng nhất do tính gọn nhẹ và cơ động. Khổ 135 còn gọi là film 35mm, vì 35mm là chiều rộng bản film tính cả viền lỗ. Film 135 thông thường cho ra khuôn hình 36x24mm. Tuy nhiên nó cũng cho ra được các khổ khác nếu gắn trên một số máy đặc biệt như half frame hay panorama. Film 135 nếu chụp khổ phổ thông 36x24mm thì được khoảng 36-39 kiểu tùy máy. Sở dĩ lại có giới hạn này vì chiều dài 1 cuộn dài bằng 2 sải tay của ông Oskar Barnack là người đầu tiên sử dụng film 35mm trong nhiếp ảnh, đơn giản là ông ấy muốn cầm hết cả cuộn lên bằng 2 tay để xem sau khi tráng. 120 là khổ film còn gọi là medium format. 120 có chiều rộng bản film 61mm. Tùy vào máy chụp hình có thể cho nhiều khổ ảnh khác nhau, như 6×6 cm, 6× 6×9… 220 giống hệt film 120 nhưng có chiều dài gấp đôi, tức chụp được nhiều gấp đôi về số kiểu. Các film tấm thì sẽ ghi rõ “sheet” ngoài bao bì hoặc trong tên film khi bán ra. Còn nhiều khổ film khác nhưng mình ko đề cập ở đây. 3. ISO film Thường thông dụng thì sẽ là một trong các số sau 50, 100, 160, 200, 360, 400, 640, 800, 1600, 3200… Đối với film negative nói chung bạn nên chụp ISO thấp hơn ISO sản xuất do sự hao hụt trong sản xuất và bảo quản. 4. Số kiểu film Thường thấy ở film 135, là số ghi 24, 36… Film thông thường ghi là 36 nghĩa là nhà sx chế tạo để phần lớn các máy sẽ chụp đc 36 kiểu. Cá nhân mình thấy bạn nào chụp ít nên chụp film 24 kiểu chứ đừng chụp cuộn 36 kiểu rồi cả tháng ko hết sẽ làm giảm chất lượng film. Fim 120 thì không có ghi rõ về số kiểu. 5. Dương/âm bản Film âm bản/dương bản cũng đôi khi ghi rõ ở tên trên danh mục sản phẩm ở shop, đôi khi không có. Âm bản sẽ ghi Negative, Dương bản sẽ ghi Slide hoặc Positive. Nếu không ghi rõ bạn cần tìm hiểu kỹ xem film này có đúng loại đang cần tìm hay không. Diferente do formato 135 o famoso 35mm que fica protegido dentro de uma bobina de metal e é perfurado para ser puxado pelos mecanismos de avanço da câmera, o filme 120 é sem perfuração e o que puxa o filme dentro da máquina é esse papel que o protege, que serve de marcação para a númeração de foto também. O tamanho também é diferente, bem maior que o 135. Pra ter uma ideia, um filme 135 tem, hum, 35mm de largura, enquanto um 120 tem 6cm de largura! O filme 120 foi introduzido pela Kodak em 1901, desenvolvido para ser usado na sua câmera popular Brownie 2. Era um avanço em portabilidada, já que o padrão era o que hoje chamamos de grande formato com chapas 4×5 pol, 8×10 pol, etc. Seus formatos de negativo são 4,5 x 6 cm, 6×6 cm, 6x9cm e em alguns casos 6×12 cm e em cada formato rende um número diferente de fotos, respectivamente 16, 12, 8, e 6 fotos.
